Gabrielle Dawes

Gabriel Dawes - Installation Artist

Gabrielle Dawes Rainbow Thread installation - Has the unique look of movement within its design (Interference Patterns).

Gabrielles designs have the look of coloured rain falling from the skies.

Interference patterns can be used to give the sense of movement, within exhibitions and installations.

Interference patterns can be made from all matter of materials, so long as each row of materials are identical and their position is altered next to or upon one another.

I can use the idea of interference patterns within my CAMIRA project, as partition dividers and an alternative would be to use interference patterns with light and dry-ice as below to light up the interior / exterior of the building frontage.

The lights interference patterns would give the affect of movement and varied intensities of colour saturation.

Natural interference patterns on water can be teamed-up with light to enhance mood.

  1. Hi. The image sixth from the top of this post has been stolen from my Flickr photostream. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kittywrinkle/4845497127/sizes/o/in/photostream/ You seem to have blurred my watermark. That's illegal. You should have included a credit and a link back to my stream at the very least.
